Photographing mountain hares in snow, Scotland

Daydreaming since 1980

Hi, I’m Phil, and I’ve been a creative professional for over 20 years. I’ve worked as a concept artist, sculptor, illustrator, painter, photographer, graphic designer, senior interpretation officer and lead creative.

I’m incredibly passionate about all wildlife, but especially the animals and plants that live alongside me here in Scotland. A lifelong nature freak, I love to use the inspiration of the natural world in my work. I’m also intensely aware of the many struggles facing our wildlife today, from climate change to habitat loss, and everything in between. This is where I like to be able to make a difference, and put my skills to use. Nothing fires me up like the fight to protect the wildlife I love: an ethereal hen harrier, a rasping corncrake, a shadowy fox, or simply a forgotten corner of scrubby, weed-strewn earth.
